Providence, R.I. – The Hartford Wolf Pack made the Rt. 6 trek for a Sunday Matinee with the Bruins who sent the visitors home with a 4-2 loss. Hartfords Benoit-Olivier Groulx opened the scoring in the first period when his dump in popped off the boards behind the Bruins net came straight out and bounced off goalie Michael DiPietro’s leg into the net. The first period ended with Hartford up 1-0. The Bruins tied it midway in the second when Max Jones tucked home a rebound from the right post. Tyler Pitlick put the Bruins ahead with a power play goal at the 15:45 mark of the period and that’s how the period would end. Two minutes and some change into the third period two Hartford defenders collided into each other at center ice leading to a Bruins 2 on 0 where Marc McLaughlin put a snap shot through the five hole of Hartford goalie Dylan Garand. Hartfords Adam Sykora got one back on a deflection of Jaroslav Chemlar’s shot from the point. Hartford took a penalty with just over two minutes to play and pulled the goalie to play 5 on 5, Patrick Brown put the insurance goal into the empty net to seal the win.
