Adam Cracknell Named Pacific Division Captain for 2024 AHL All-Star Classic

Adam Cracknell‘s 15th season in the AHL has been a successful one thus far, as the Henderson Silver Knights’ assistant captain has been named to his first ever AHL All-Star appearance, serving as the captain for the Pacific Division.

Cracknell celebrated his 700th career game in the AHL earlier this season, and has amassed 726 total games in the league, with 210 goals and 462 points. This season, Cracknell has scored 13 goals and 23 points, tied for first and second on the team respectively.

Drafted in the 9th round of the 2004 NHL Draft (279th overall), Cracknell is the definition of “journeyman,” appearing in nearly 1,100 professional games across the NHL, AHL, ECHL, KHL (Russia), and Metal Ligaen (Denmark), as well as competing for Team Canada in the 2022 Olympics.

Cracknell’s ties to the Las Vegas valley run deep, as his first two full professional seasons were with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL, in which he appeared in 92 games and 29 postseason games between the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons.

The Henderson Silver Knights are currently 6th place in the Pacific Division, with a record of 17-14-1-3 (38 points). With 37 games remaining on their schedule, the team looks to finish strong and make the playoffs after finishing near the bottom of the league last season.

The 2024 AHL All-Star Classic is hosted by the San Jose Barracuda in San Jose, California on February 4th and 5th, featuring the AHL All-Star Skills Competition on the first day, and the AHL All-Star Challenge on the second.
