Colorado Eagles Sign Forward Brett Stapley

Earlier today, the Colorado Eagles announced they were signing former DU pioneer Brett Stapley for the 2023-24 season to a two way AHL contract.

Last season Stapley, a former 2018 7th round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, suited up for the Trois-Riveries Lions of the ECHL, recording 52 points in 57 games, including 11 goals.

Prior to this, he spent four years at the University of Denver, recording 99 points in 121 games and being a part of the 2022 National Championship winning team.

The Eagles will kick off the 2023-24 regular season when they travel to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins on Friday, October 13th at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Colorado will make its home debut when the team plays host to Grand Rapids on Friday, October 20th.
