Providence, R.I. – Sunday saw the second game of the weekend between the two teams and the Bruins came away with the 4-3 shootout victory. This was the Bruins third game in three days having come from a road victory in Springfield on Saturday evening. They opened the first period flat and after two quick Cleveland scores by Luca Del Bel Belluz and Trey Fix-Wolansky in the first 5 minutes was the end of the day for Bruins starting goalie Michael DiPietro. The Bruins Trevor Kuntar would get one back late in the period to cut the lead in half.

The Bruins came out with renewed energy in the second and take the lead on goals by Vincent Arseneau and Georgii Merkulov. Backstopped by Brandon Bussi they would hold the visitors scoreless. The third period opened with both teams trading scoring opportunities and Cleveland goalie Jet Greaves making timely stops on his end and Bussi making a great save, stuffing the Monsters Roman Ahcan on a wraparound attempt late in the period. For the second time in the two games with the goaltender pulled and 36 seconds left on the clock Trey Fix-Wolansky would tie the game on a wrister from inside the right face off circle. After a scoreless overtime that had Cleveland playing shorthanded and hemmed in their own zone by a delayed penalty call and then short handed Jett Greaves held them in the game. The teams would exchange scores in the first two rounds of the shootout, but the Bruins Brett Harrison sealed it in the third round.
